Hero Ingredients
Cacao Butter
Cacao seed butter has powerful antioxidants that help protect your skin from free radicals. Plus, it contains vitamin E, which helps keep your skin smooth and supple. It also acts as a humectant, helping to pull moisture out of the air and into your skin—which is especially good for dryness.
Shea Butter
The high concentration of vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter helps it to nourish and moisturise the skin. It is often used as a remedy for dry skin and as a protection against the skin losing its vital oils.
Avocado Oil
The reason avocado oil is so great at moisturising your skin is because it contains many fatty acids that are easily absorbed by your skin. These fatty acids help keep your skin hydrated, which is why they are so good at reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They also help to soothe dry skin by providing an extra layer of moisture that prevents dehydration and other conditions that can cause flaking or cracking.
Macadamia Oil
Macadamia oil is great for moisturising your skin because it contains oleic acid and linoleic acid—both of which are naturally present in human sebum (the natural oil produced by our bodies). The fact that macadamia oil contains these acids means that it absorbs well into the skin without leaving behind any residue or greasy feeling afterward.
Apricot Kernel Oil
Apricot kernel oil contains oleic acid and linolenic acid, two types of omega-9 fatty acids that help to keep the skin moisturized and protected from harmful microorganisms that live on your face. Omega-9 fatty acids are also good for repairing damaged collagen fibers—the part of your skin that gives it structure and elasticity.
